SPECIAL EXHIBITION-BASED WRITING EVENT FOR TEENS
TAUGHT BY CLARE JOHNSON
One story or poem can inspire a million different pictures; one picture can inspire a million different pieces of writing. This class will show you how your writing can transform one idea into endless others. Artists in the Hugo House Gallery have used famous writing to inspire an exhibition of drawings and paintings – now you’ll use their art to create brand new pieces of writing. Artist and writer Clare Johnson (one of the artists in the show) will lead you through the process, helping you unleash new ideas and develop lots of new short pieces. All kinds of writing are welcome – this workshop is ideal for everyone whether you write a lot or are a beginner curious about where to start.
No pre-registration required, just show up ready to write!
Cost: By donation
