If you’re looking for a little inspiration as well as some company to write with, try joining us at the next Quarantine Write-In. Even if you’ve never put pen to paper before, you’re most welcome.

I serve up writing prompts as well as a tips for getting a writing practice going (and keeping it going) during this trying time. I also throw in (what I hope are) inspirational quotes from other writers who talk about the importance of “bearing witness” right now.

I try to keep my talking to a minimum; what I want is to give you time to write. So, during each Write-In, you’ll get a full half-hour for writing, as well as a chance to chat in small groups with your fellow writers.

My goals are to inspire, encourage, and motivate you to write—about whatever topics are on your mind. It could be coronavirus-related, but it certainly doesn’t have to be. I also want you to provide a sense of community. Writers always need community, in my opinion—but now, more than ever.

Please join us! Cocktails welcome; pants optional. All you need is a willingness to write in two fifteen-minute blocks, and also to chat for a few minutes with a small group of fellow writers. You will not be required to read what you write in those small groups, but you’re welcome to.

Hope to see you at the next session!
