The purpose of this workshop is to make you a better writer by developing your critical eye and your command of the fiction craft. Through a combination of workshop, critique, and close readings of the best contemporary short stories, we’ll explore the elements of craft required to compose a fantastic novel or short story. This course is for those who have been in fiction workshops or have written fiction. The final class will focus on navigating the publishing business.
Beginning Fall 2021, we will be adding select in-person classes back to our course catalog. The majority of our classes will still be offered via Zoom.
If a class says IN-PERSON in its title, it will take place in person at our permanent home in Seattle.
If a class says ASYNCHRONOUS in its title, it will take place on Wet Ink, our asynchronous learning platform.
If a class does not have a marker after its title, it will take place via Zoom.
