This is a class for writers who are in the midst of working on a novel. The class will cover various elements of craft and structure, and explore the psychological, emotional, and metaphysical work that a novelist does to bring his or her vision to fruition. Students will engage in a number of structure-based exercises and will have an opportunity to share work when appropriate.
Beginning Fall 2021, we will be adding select in-person classes back to our course catalog. The majority of our classes will still be offered via Zoom.
If a class says IN-PERSON in its title, it will take place in person at our permanent home in Seattle.
If a class says ASYNCHRONOUS in its title, it will take place on Wet Ink, our asynchronous learning platform.
If a class does not have a marker after its title, it will take place via Zoom.
Ryan Boudinot is the author of the novels Blueprints of the Afterlife and Misconception (a PEN USA Literary Award finalist) and the story collection The Littlest Hitler (a Publishers Weekly book of the year).
