Monster Mash-Up

Spend your Halloween afternoon in this three-hour generative workshop in which we’ll read, discuss, and write contemporary ghost stories and monster poems. Focusing in particular on literary collage techniques, we’ll draw inspiration from history, science, poetry, philosophy, tarot, zoology, mythology, religion, visual art, and a Ouija board. You’ll leave with a selection of new work guaranteed to frighten friends and family. Poets and writers from all levels of experience welcome. Costumes optional!

Beginning Fall 2021, we will be adding select in-person classes back to our course catalog. The majority of our classes will still be offered via Zoom.

If a class says IN-PERSON in its title, it will take place in person at our permanent home in Seattle.

If a class says ASYNCHRONOUS in its title, it will take place on Wet Ink, our asynchronous learning platform.

If a class does not have a marker after its title, it will take place via Zoom.
