All Levels | We’ll read Beckett’s short experimental plays and Sirah’s debut collection, which moves between dialogue and poetry, in order to draw inspiration for our own theater of ideas (whether in play, prose or verse format, or hybrid form). We’ll learn about setting as character and dramatic arc to give our work more urgency and verve. Weekly writing prompts.
Required texts: Samuel Beckett, The Collected Shorter Plays and Carlos Sirah, The High Alive: An Epic Hoodoo Diptych.
Beginning Fall 2021, we will be adding select in-person classes back to our course catalog. The majority of our classes will still be offered via Zoom.
If a class says IN-PERSON in its title, it will take place in person at our permanent home in Seattle.
If a class says ASYNCHRONOUS in its title, it will take place on Wet Ink, our asynchronous learning platform.
If a class does not have a marker after its title, it will take place via Zoom.
