All Levels | The writing of poetry brings forth our deepest and most vulnerable selves; this workshop mirrors that process and provides a sacred space for discussion, appreciation, and critique. In addition to leading a respectful and productive workshop, the instructor will lead the class in generative writing exercises inspired by poems published in contemporary literary journals, including work by poets Solmaz Sharif, Jericho Brown, and Ocean Vuong. All students will have at least two poems workshopped and engage in one deep revision.
Beginning Fall 2021, we will be adding select in-person classes back to our course catalog. The majority of our classes will still be offered via Zoom.
If a class says IN-PERSON in its title, it will take place in person at our permanent home in Seattle.
If a class says ASYNCHRONOUS in its title, it will take place on Wet Ink, our asynchronous learning platform.
If a class does not have a marker after its title, it will take place via Zoom.
