All Levels. This roundtable workshop is designed to help short-story writers and novelists develop their fiction through in-class discussions of their own work. Students will receive feedback on at least one of their own pieces (twenty pages or fewer). Each week, students will prepare comments on the student manuscripts up for discussion. The instructor will provide relevant exercises, lessons, and readings. We’ll examine the work of writers such as Alice Munro, Franz Kafka, Lorrie Moore, and Roxane Gay.
Beginning Fall 2021, we will be adding select in-person classes back to our course catalog. The majority of our classes will still be offered via Zoom.
If a class says IN-PERSON in its title, it will take place in person at our permanent home in Seattle.
If a class says ASYNCHRONOUS in its title, it will take place on Wet Ink, our asynchronous learning platform.
If a class does not have a marker after its title, it will take place via Zoom.
